Israel's threats to topple the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad, in case he were to respond to any future attacks launched by the Jewish state against Damascus, were accompanied by a series of military maneuvers carried out at the borders of the Golan Heights.
In this context, the Israeli army increased the number of troops and promoted the movement of military tanks and jets in a number of regions near the borders with Syria and Lebanon under the pretext of "mounting danger overshadowing the area". The military also filed a complaint with the international forces after two rockets hit the Israeli- occupied Mount Hermon.
