TEHRAN (FNA)- Iraq stationed several divisions of its troops along the borders with Syria after the so- called Free Syrian Army (FSA) terrorist group attacked the army's watchtowers in border areas. and killed six Iraqi soldiers.
Six Iraqi soldiers were killed in clashes with FSA armed rebels after the terrorists began firing at army's watchtowers in Rabia and al-Ba'aj regions along the Iraq-Syria border.
The bodies of the six Iraqi soldiers killed by FSA forces have been delivered to Sanjar Hospital in Iraq's Neynava province , al-Sumeriya News website quoted an informed source as saying.
Syria's neighbors are concerned about the possible spread of crisis from the Muslim country.
Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs against Syrian police forces and border guards being reported across the country.
Hundreds of people, including members of the security forces, have been killed, when some protest rallies turned into armed clashes.
The government blames outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorist groups for the deaths, stressing that the unrest is being orchestrated from abroad.
